No design / advertising post today, time to go back to school. My parents so graciously put me through a fabulous school called Gettysburg College. (My gf sighing somewhere because she insists I talk about it too much) The college has a fabulous website by the by, and they totally get the NEED for social networks and a great site in this day and age. Anyway, I majored in Economics and Business Management during my time at Gettysburg College. I do like catching up with the economic landscape every once and while. I know it sounds so weird to read that but I’m a bit odd so it makes sense. Design and Economics, who knew.
I came across this great article on MIT’s site. The article is about a lecture Paul Krugman (Nobel prize winner in economics) gave. It’s a bit dreary, but he talked a good deal about Macroeconomics. His theory was that society is forgetting macro principles of the past. Government spending increases the probability of economic recovery, and the US has seem to lost sight of that. Very interesting, although I did find myself going back to my college ways. (Reading without understanding) A cup of coffee may be required for the read ;)
